Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

A1 Pro Handyman is a licensed and insured home-repair business serving Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Putnam Counties in New York, Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Manhattan/NYC. These terms govern your use of a1prohandyman.com and any quote, estimate, or job you book with us through the site, by phone, or by email.

2. Quotes & Estimates

Quotes given by phone, form, or in writing before a technician inspects the job are estimates, not fixed bids, unless we confirm a flat price in writing. Final pricing is confirmed on-site once the scope of work is visible; we'll tell you before we do any work that costs more than what was quoted.

3. Scheduling & Site Access

Same-day and short-notice windows are offered on a best-effort basis and depend on crew availability and drive time; they are not guaranteed arrival times. You're responsible for providing safe, reasonable access to the work area, and for co-op/condo or landlord approvals, certificates of insurance, or building paperwork your property may require before we can start.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless we've agreed to different terms in writing. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking. Deposits, where required for materials on larger jobs, are non-refundable once materials are purchased on your behalf.

5. Workmanship

We stand behind our labor. If something we installed or repaired fails due to our workmanship, contact us and we'll return to make it right at no additional labor charge within a reasonable period after the job. This does not cover material or product defects (which are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, if any), damage from normal wear, misuse, or work performed by others after we complete the job.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule a booked appointment by calling or emailing us; we ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to another customer. Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect priority for future same-day scheduling.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the job giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York or Connecticut law.

8. Use of This Website

You agree to use a1prohandyman.com only for lawful purposes, for example not to submit false contact information, scrape the site, or attempt to interfere with its normal operation. Content on this site (text, photos, logos) belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reused without permission.

9. Communications

By submitting a quote form with your phone number, you agree we may contact you by phone, text, or email about your project, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Westchester County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise for work performed in Connecticut.
